Rapper Soulja Boy, 21, was involved in a car accident in Hollywood on Saturday. Soulja Boy initially said that his bodyguard was driving, but has since admitted he was behind the wheel at the time of the accident. While he says the other driver ran a red light and hit him, the other party is telling a different story.
The accident occurred at an intersection with a red light, and photos immediately following the crash show the Bentley crossed over the double yellow lines separating one side of the road from another. The other vehicle is behind the lines that would have placed it within the intersection. An investigation is currently underway to determine fault.
A pregnant woman was driving the black car in the accident with Soulja Boy’s Bentley. She was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, but no one sustained any serious injuries. TMZ interviewed the woman’s husband immediately following the accident and has just released a video made by Soulja Boy explaining his side of the story. In the video, Soulja claims the other driver was at fault and says that they are simply out for money. A Riverside auto accident lawyer would most likely be able to help the other party file suit for compensation if they sustained any injuries or major damage to their vehicle, but so far there has been no mention of a lawsuit.
Soulja Boy’s 14-year-old step-brother Deion Jenkins died in March of 2011 in a car accident.
