Best known for playing The Doctor (Dr. Lewis Zimmerman) on Star Trek: Voyager, Robert Picardo has filed for divorce from wife Linda Pawlik in Los Angeles Superior Court. He used the standard “irreconcilable differences” reason for the split in his petition.
58-year-old Picardo and Pawlik married in 1984 and have two adult daughters, so child support will not be an issue in the divorce. Details of the petition are largely unknown, but items potentially up for discussion include spousal support and property division. Divorce attorneys will undoubtedly say that the settlement agreement — as well as the length of time it will take to finalize the divorce — is dependent upon whether the couple can amicably work together and whether there was a prenuptial agreement.
The petition was filed last week but TMZ only broke the story today.
