Earlier this week, Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail followed by another 90 days at in-patient rehab in spite of having a criminal lawyer by her side to defend her.  Well, since her lawyer couldn’t get it done, Michael Lohan is stepping in by writing a letter with hopes of getting his daughter out of jail.

Apperantly Judge Marsha Revel refused to hearing him out at the hearing and suggested that he write a letter with what he had to say.  Here is a snippet of the letter:
“Michael desperately wants to avoid seeing his daughter become the next Hollywood statistic.”

How about not wanting your daughter to continue on a destructive path and seeing that she needed some type of intervention?

As we all know Lindsay Lohan has a tendency of making headlines for her crazy partying habits more than anything over the last few years.  But this time, no who am I kidding just a recap…  She’s still been dealing with her 2007 DUI case, not only in she in need of support of good dwi lawyers, but it would be good to make sure they have experience in criminal law.

Apparently, she is being forced to answer on July 6th whether or not she was drug induced on that swerving night in her car.   Supposedly, there was evidence to support this claim, but it was confiscated by the cop who arrested her.  The Santa Monica police report stated that the officer “discovered a folded Clinique sun care card with an unknown substance caked on to the surface of the card in Lohan’s right rear pocket.”

Hopefully this time around, she gets “caught” so there is some time of real intervention so she can get back to solid grounds.

Vogue.it: Milan Fashion Week Womenswear A/W 2010

Lindsey Lohan has had her share of trouble with the law, and her newest penalty is to a wear a piece of jewelry. Although, it’s certainly not the kind of jewelry Lindsey is used to wearing. She will be forced to wear a SCRAM monitoring bracelet around her ankle in addition to daily drug tests.

This was all the result of Lindsey’s 2007 arrests for drunken driving and misdemeanor drug charges. On Thursday, the judge ordered an arrest warrant for Ms. Lohan when she failed to appear for a probation hearing. The warrant was revoked when Lindsey posted her $100,000 bail and claimed that while in Cannes he passport had been stolen and she could not leave France.

The judge ordered the young actress to attend an alcohol education program, as well as set a probation violation hearing, in addition to his sentencing of the bracelet and drug testing. Lindsey entered a plea in court to ease the restrictions placed on her, but they were denied, bearing perhaps the most severe consequences for the star’s already unstable career. She has been dropped from a Texas film because of her inability to be on location for the shoots as a result of the restrictions. Pending the results of her probation violation hearing, Lindsey might have an even harder time in the future finding room for her movie career. She should seek knowledgeable Los Angeles criminal attorneys to help her out of her troubles.

LAS VEGAS - NOVEMBER 07: Actress Lindsay Loha...

Since it’s hard for anyone to keep up with the train wreck that is Lindsay Lohan, here’s a timeline of events from just the past week:

May 15: Lohan heads off to France for the Cannes Film Festival (For what reason exactly? We do not know.)

May 15-18: She parties her leggings off doing the typical falling and staying out until all hours of the morning routine, which doesn’t surprise anyone.

May 18: Lohan gets to the airport to return back to the U.S. in time for her court appointment, but can’t find her passport and – of course – claims someone stole it.

May 19: Accusations that her father had something to do with her missing passport begin to swirl around the news.

May 20: She eventually gets a new passport while missing her court appointment. A bench warrant is then issued for her arrest, and in order to stay out of jail she’s ordered to not drink any alcohol, wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet and endure random drug testing at least once a week.

Later in the day, Lohan avoids her arrest by posting $100,000 bail. The cash is wired from her new financial manager in Tennessee and her warrant is revoked.

Lohan is ordered to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, and the whole world’s watching to see what will happen next. Never a dull moment in the life of Loco Lohan…

LOS ANGELES - NOVEMBER 15: In this handout pho...

Party animal Lindsay Lohan has violated her probation and could end up behind bars. Are we surprised? No.

Lohan was put on probation after two DUIs, but hasn’t fulfilled the necessary alcohol education requirement that the judge ordered her to. Judge Marsha Revel told her last year that she must attend a course once every 7 days, and if she did not comply with her probation terms, she was going to jail.

The school Lohan’s enrolled in is – according to state law – required to let the court know if she isn’t in class for 21 days. Sneaky Lindsay, however, waited until the 21st day to attend classes, so the school has not reported anything relating to an attendance violation.

Since she still violated the judge’s order, Lohan must appear at a May 20 hearing. Since her probation was violated after the judge specifically warned her about the consequences, it’s not looking too good for Ms. Lohan.

Maybe a little jail time is just what she needs…
