Mel Gibson – New Domestic Violence Investigations

Investigations continue in Malibu for the case of domestic violence accusations for actor Mel Gibson and ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.  The celebrity couple have a baby girl together, named Lucia.  Recent telephone calls that Oksana handed over to police include violent outbursts that made Ms. Grigorieva fear for her life – these are included within the current evidence.

Allegedly, within the messages, Mr. Gibson stated that she deserved a beating because she was ruining his career and keeping him away from his daughter.

They have been in a battle for custody over Lucia for a year now, but further evidence has not been created.

The Los Angeles Times indicates that Gibson’s representative Alan Nierob has not confirmed the report’s accuracy due to legal matters.

Mr. Gibson would face criminal law charges, jail time and civil penalties, and could lose visitation rights to his daughter.  If the court decides Mr. Gibson is a danger to them, this could very well happen, but they are only investigating – Not arresting or charging. Right now, Mr. Gibson is a very famous actor and producer, but negative press like this, even if untrue, continues to hurt his box office popularity.
