He’s been protesting his innocence all along, and now Lane Garrison has officially pled not guilty to the misdemeanor domestic violence charges levied against him last month for reportedly hitting ex-girlfriend Ashley Mattingly.
Garrison was in court yesterday in Beverly Hills with his lawyer to enter his plea. In addition to this portion of his court hearing, it was agreed that Garrison may be let out on $50,000 bail on June 29th. He will appear again in court on July 11th for his pretrial hearing. This follows the formulaic approach to criminal proceedings many courts follow, as a Utah criminal defense attorney would be able to tell you.
While Mattingly and Garrison’s relationship had ups and downs for quite some time, we reported at the end of April things came to a head on April 22nd when the two met in Mattingly’s building and got into an argument. Security footage from the area shows the two in a heated altercation and their reports of what went down differ drastically, making this a he-said, she-said case.
