Kim K. Close to Divorce Settlement

The battle may finally be coming to an end between Kim Kardashian and estranged husband Kris Humphries. Although their divorce has lasted longer than their 72-day marriage, the two are close to reaching a final agreement. Soon they will determine who gets what and close this chapter of their lives, although her various reality shows are sure to remind America about how much she’s suffered.

Kim Kardashian’s life has been an open book with paparazzi or TV crews almost always following her. Nevertheless, one factor that makes a divorce settlement more likely is that Kris wanted the judge to allow cameras in court if the divorce case went to trial, a move that Kim tried to block. Kim is known to have full editorial control over what is ultimately aired on her reality shows, but the testimony in court might be dirtier than the laundry that is normally aired.

A local Bakersfield couple caused a stir when they got married next door to Kim Kardashian. However, that couple will not be hiring a Bakersfield family attorney because their marriage has far outlasted Kris and Kim’s. Meanwhile, Kim has quickly moved on, jet setting with rapper Kanye West, and Kris was seen last weekend at the beach with a new love interest.

Although Kim has been very public about her affair with Kanye, she is not prepared to publicly answer questions and feels very protective of the budding relationship. Kim realizes that one of her mistakes with ex Reggie Bush (and in other past relationships) was giving the public too much information too soon. Kris, on the other hand, has realized that he cannot keep fighting the vast resources of the Kardashian clan.

Kris is reportedly tired of teasing from friends and all of the media attention. Given that the New Jersey Nets did not make it to the NBA playoffs, Kris is likely to move forward with life with his new leading lady as soon as he and Kim reach a settlement.
