Should Justin Bieber’s License Be Revoked?

Driving at crazy speeds, swerving in and out of traffic, and multiple violations are all causes for your license to be revoked or at least suspended in many states…unless your name is Justin Bieber, in which case you may just get a slap on the wrist. At least, that is the picture that has been coming to light in the recent tabloid stories of the young pop star’s driving exploits.

According to TMZ, Justin Bieber was recently pulled over for going anywhere from 80 to mph 100 mph in Los Angeles driving his Fisker Karma while weaving in and out of traffic. This comes after several other recent offenses, which include going 90 mph just last year in his Range Rover, being pulled over in his Cadillac for cutting off an officer and making an unsafe left turn in the same car just a few weeks later. He was also the culprit in a minor fender bender when his Ferrari tapped a Honda in the same time period.

As punishment, Bieber has received various fines, which are reportedly being paid on time, but many are noticing Bieber hasn’t calmed his wild driving ways. Bieber supporters point out that his excessive speeding in this most recent incident occurred as he attempted to evade paparazzi — one of whom is being investigated for his role in the chase — and do not believe he deserves additional punishment. Others say that his repeated offenses and light punishment are special treatment Bieber does not deserve. If the average Joe who received a speeding ticket in Union County followed it up with multiple violations in the same year, they would be receiving some harsh punishment from the judge.

For now it remains to be seen if Bieber will slow down or be forced to face the music. Let’s just hope no one is harmed due to his driving — including Bieber himself.
