Guess who’s back in the news! Come on, you knew it wouldn’t be too long before Lindsay Lohan made her way back into our celebrity newsfeed. This time her Porsche slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler. She was on her way to the set of the film where she plays Liz Taylor… and um… well, ended up in the hospital instead. I was wondering what the extra bit of traffic was on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica earlier.
She wasn’t taken to the hospital by ambulance and we hear she’s doing okay and has returned to work. More to come on the legal ramifications.
The Miss Universe organization has filed a few lawsuits against ex-Miss Pennsylvania after she ousted the pageants as fraud. As ownder of the organization, Donald Trump gave ex-Miss PA, Sheena Monnin, 24-hours to retract her statement that pageant winners are pre-determined but she never did.
She claims Miss Florida told her about a list of the top 5 contestants before they were announced. Florida now claims she was joking but Monnin says all 5 predicted matched all 5 announced.
Now Monnin is facing two legal claims; defamation and breach of contract by discussing the pageant.
TMZ says that according to the fed, Lauryn Hill is “severely miseducated on filing tax returns.” Hill was charged this morning in a New Jersey federal court for skipping out on 3 years worth of returns, when she earned almost $2 million. She’s scheduled to appear in court at the end of June.
Finally this week, Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester was sending home $7,500 each month for her little brother who has serious medical problems. Turns out their mom was spending the cash on things like Botox, hair extensions and plastic surgery. Matriarch, Constance Meester, says her daughter promised to take care of her and that’s why she spent the money. The judge found there was no such agreement. Leighton didn’t sue to recover any of the lost cash from her mom, she only wanted her out of the picture, and she got her wish.
