Move over, Ryan Gosling, there’s a new superhero in town. Patrick Dempsey may only play a doctor on TV but he’s still got some skills for dealing with real life emergencies. When a driver lost control of his Mustang and rolled onto McDreamy’s lawn, the actor emerged from his house with “lightning speed” armed with a crowbar and pryed the driver from the vehicle. 911 responded and the driver suffered a concussion but no serious injuries.
Universal Studios has filed a lawsuit against a low-budget production company for making a straight-to-DVD knockoff of “Battleship” due out in May. The production company at the end of the lawsuit, The Asylum, is know for these types of shenanigans having released films in the past titled “Titanic 2,” “The Terminators” and “Transmorphers.” Their newest attempt, “American Battleship” is due out 4 days after Universal’s big bidget “Battleship hits theaters in the US. Universal says in the lawsuit that it spent over $130 million in the making and promoting of the film and The Asylum is just trying to piggyback off of its anticipation. They’re suing for “unspecified damages.”
Seventeen years ago, infamous cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer was brutally murdered in prison. Now Christopher Scarver, the man who bludgeoned him to death, is on the hunt for a tell-all book deal. He says he wants to explain why he felt compelled to kill Dahmer in 1994 and all about the sick games he’d play on prision officials and other prisoners during his time behind bars. Scarver is serving multiple life sentences for multiple murders but wants to reveal details about the Dahmer murder as well as life lessons he’s learned in the slammer.
If Britney Spears was “Overprotected” in 2001, I can’t even imagine how she feels to have her dad and fiance now co-in charge of her finances for her. Britney’s dad and current conservator filed a petition early April asking the court to add Jason Trawick as a co=conservator. Britney was in agreement and her pops is thrilled. Now Jason can help decide how Britney will earn and spend her cash including her “X Factor” $15 million deal.
