Hilary Duff is being sued for her role in a December 12, 2010 car accident. According to plaintiff Rachel Owens, Duff crashed her Range Rover into Owens’ vehicle, causing her substantial injuries.
The paperwork for the lawsuit was filed yesterday in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. There’s no word yet on an exact monetary figure, but TMZ reports Ms. Owens is seeking compensation for:
- Medical expenses
- Pain and suffering
- Lost wages
- Loss of earning potential
Sounds like Ms. Owens has hired a stellar auto accident lawyer to represent her! If Duff doesn’t have one already, she will need an attorney to represent her as legal proceedings move forward.
