Quincy Carter, a former quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys has been arrested on a battery charge in Georgia.
In 2004, Carter was released by the Dallas Cowboys because he failed a drug test. In 2009, cut from the Abilene Ruff Riders of the Indoor Football League after a drunk driving arrest.
According to Gwinnett County Police, who identified herself as Mr. Carter’s girlfriend stated that on October 6, 2010, Quincy Carter was drunk when he choked and hit her, allegedly because she told him that she wanted to break-up with him. Police said the 35-year-old Egan Jacobs had bumps and bruises.
The 33-year-old former NFL player was arrested on the outstanding warrant for battery nine days later after being stopped for driving with an expired tag and a suspended license. He was freed from jail the same day.
