Drummer Mick Brown was arrested in Maine on Sunday night for driving under the influence of alcohol.
After playing a show with Ted Nugent at the Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Brown took a golf cart for a joyride despite being intoxicated. Police officers working at the concert venue were informed that Brown had stolen the golf cart and was drunk, at which point they ordered Brown to stop the vehicle. Brown, however, apparently decided to drive away in lieu of turning himself in, and an article published by the Huffington Post says that he pushed a security officer during his escape attempt. He was eventually removed from the hijacked golf cart by two officers, quickly handcuffed and arrested.
Brown has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving to endanger, assault and theft. If convicted of all four charges, Brown could face extensive fines, loss of license, jail time and more. This will definitely be an interesting case for a DUI lawyer to handle!
Brown was released from the Penobscot County Jail after posting a $4,000 bail.
