Greg the Barber Choked Out

It was reported a few years back that a man known only as “Greg the Barber” knocked out former CEO and co-founder of Death Row Records, Suge Knight at a nightclub in California. This time around it was Greg that was down for the count.

Late last week the LAPD obtained footage of “Greg the Barber” getting choked out by a bouncer in front of a well known Los Angeles night club where he was seen partying earlier.  Police showed up and arrested Greg instead of the bouncer who choked him out.

The police were called to the Wonderland Nightclub in Hollywood sometime around 2:00am this past Friday morning and were at the scene within minutes. The details of the phone conversation revealed that  Greg had apparently been making threats the whole night to employees of the club, some of those being violent.  Upon arrival of the police, a check was run on Greg and it was brought to their attention that he had outstanding warrants from previous incidents that occurred, which is why he was arrested.

After the arrest, Greg informed the police that he had been attacked earlier in the evening by a bouncer outside the nightclub. It wasn’t until the next morning that the police saw surveillance video of the choke out. It wasn’t quite clear who did the choking but Greg has been assured that they are investigating who the bouncer was, however they are also investigating him for shoving the bouncer. Being choked out the way he was, he was probably injured in some way from the amount of excessive force to his neck. Fight at the 40/40

Late last December, a videotape emerged of several bouncers from the security team at the 40/40 club in Atlantic City, attacking two men in the parking lot of the venue.  A now former supervisor from the time of the incident at  Jay Z’s 40/40 nightclub claims that initially, anyone who was involved in the after-hours scuffle was suspended. Not too long after the suspension, however, everyone involved was fired.

The team was hired to keep the peace at the club and get physical when necessary to assure that no one got out of hand.  The end result of this altercation was all of the men losing their jobs for doing their jobs. The bouncers initially approached the men because people were complaining throughout the night that they were acting inappropriate and groping at woman.  When the security team tried to escort the men from the club, they felt they needed to apply force to the equation. The two men who were thrown out of the club believe that the attacks weren’t warranted and swear they did nothing to provoke the anyone, the tapes say different.

In the video that surfaced, one of the bouncers was wearing a shirt from another company he worked for, simply because the 40/40 club didn’t have the proper size uniform for him, resulting in the other company firing him for wearing his uniform at another venue, ultimately costing him the price of losing two jobs.

Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers, who filed for bankruptcy as part of their search for new ownership, are caught in a bit of a rundown.  MLB Commissioner Bud Selig has vocally supported one prospective group, led by Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, stating, “Baseball has always had the right to select its ownership. There’s no doubt in my mind that we have the right to select ownership, and we will do that.”

Prior to marrying Larry King, Shawn Southwick was an actress.  She played in mainly sitcoms.  Her acting credits include appearances on Knight Rider, Benson, Who’s the Boss and Remmington Steele.  She has three sons, two from Larry King. None of the witnesses at the scene of the accident saw any signs of the supposed paparazzi. There have been no pictures that have surfaced either, making Jone’s story seem like a fake. Allegedly, within the messages, Mr. Gibson stated that she deserved a beating because she was ruining his career and keeping him away from his daughter.

They have been in a battle for custody over Lucia for a year now, but further evidence has not been created.

The Los Angeles Times indicates that Gibson’s representative Alan Nierob has not confirmed the report’s accuracy due to legal matters.

Mr. Gibson would face criminal defense charges, jail time and civil penalties, and could lose visitation rights to his daughter.  If the court decides Mr. Gibson is a danger to them, this could very well happen, but they are only investigating – Not arresting or charging. Right now, Mr. Gibson is a very famous actor and producer, but negative press like this, even if untrue, continues to hurt his box office popularity.
