Another day, another George Michael arrest. British media outlets recently reported that the 47-year-old singer was arrested after crashing his car into a building (WHAM!) in the upscale residential area of North London known as Hampstead. Michael was taken to a police station and released on bail shortly after.

As a solo artist, George Michael has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. However, he is no stranger to run-ins with the law. He was arrested for “engaging in a lewd act” (in a public toilet of all places) in 1998; in February 2006, he was arrested for possession of Class C drugs; and in September 2008, he was again arrested for drugs, this time for possession of Class A and Class C substances.

While the average citizen would hardly gain the kind of attention that celebrities do for something like alcohol monitoring, Lindsay Lohan sure knows how to cause quite a stir. The latest news about Lindsay Lohan drinking was reported just after the MTV Movie Awards.

The SCRAM officials reportedly received an update on the alcohol reading from Lohan’s ankle bracelet. The reading was not exactly alcohol-free. This comes about a month after having been sentenced to wear the bracelet, and being told not to drink.  It was up Judge Marsha Ravel will have to decide on July 6th if Lohan is lying, or if the device was inaccurate.  In the end, Lohan served jail time and is currently in rehab.

Blame it on the spray tan?

According to AboutLawCases.com, some researchers question the accuracy of SCRAM bracelets. This is particularly true when looking at the results of women with “lots of lotions, sanitizers or odor agents on their bodies.” These may cause a false reading.   So the question remains, was Lindsay Lohan lying? Too bad she couldn’t make a precedent with the Spray Tan Defense.

As we all know Lindsay Lohan has a tendency of making headlines for her crazy partying habits more than anything over the last few years.  But this time, no who am I kidding just a recap…  She’s still been dealing with her 2007 DUI case, not only in she in need of support of good dwi lawyers, but it would be good to make sure they have experience in criminal law.

Apparently, she is being forced to answer on July 6th whether or not she was drug induced on that swerving night in her car.   Supposedly, there was evidence to support this claim, but it was confiscated by the cop who arrested her.  The Santa Monica police report stated that the officer “discovered a folded Clinique sun care card with an unknown substance caked on to the surface of the card in Lohan’s right rear pocket.”

Hopefully this time around, she gets “caught” so there is some time of real intervention so she can get back to solid grounds.

The New York Daily News reported that Willie Nelson debuted a new ‘do in Maui this past week when he showed up on-stage sans his legendary locks.

It is good to see Nelson in the news for a coif rather than a crime.  If you recall back in 1990 the IRS caught up with the singer and required that he pay $16.7 million dollars in back taxes.  To pay his tax bill Nelson had to auction off  possessions and released an album The IRS Tapes: Who’ll Buy My Memories?. He then sued Price Waterhouse Coopers in a lawsuit that settled for an unnamed amount.  His claim was that the accounting firm had placed him in tax shelters that were then disallowed.

Nelson was back in trouble in 2006  when his tour bus was stopped by Louisiana by police who found both marijuana and mushrooms on board which resulted in a misdemeanor citation for the singer.

There is no word as to why Nelson suddenly decided to try a shorter look but some speculate that convenience may have been the impetus.  Nelson sported his new look only days after the Daily News reported that Twilight teen sensation Robert Pattinson(aka RPatzz) had cut his long hair. Could it be Nelson who is touring with his son is trying to keep up with the younger generation?  Regardless of the reason, it is good to hear that while in Maui Nelson won’t be requiring the services of  a Hawaii criminal defense  attorney as it looks  like the only run-in he  may have is with the fashion police.
