Members of the hip hop group Cali Swag District are still recovering from the death of fellow swagman M-Bone, and they want you to help solve his murder. The group is asking the public for help in identifying the as-yet-unknown killer who shot their bandmate recently in Los Angeles.
Cali Swag District released a statement to TMZ asking their fans to contact the local police if they have any information at all about M-Bone’s shooting and who might be behind it. In their statement, CSD announced that M-Bone “was the victim of a random act of violence last night, Sunday, May 15th, in his hometown of Inglewood, CA.”
The group went on to issue a public plea for justice, saying, “As police are still investigating the shooting and untimely death, we ask that anyone with information contact the Inglewood Police Department.”
The group’s plea wasn’t without some sentimentality. The Cali Swag crew made clear their feelings for M-Bone, saying that he “was an inspiration to his family, friends, and fans. He was a hardworking, passionate artist and dancer that will be deeply missed.”
The Cali Swag District have their roots in Inglewood, Calif., where they were discovered before their single “Teach Me How to Dougie” climbed the charts. The surviving members are C-Smoove (also known as Smoove Da General), Yung and JayAre.
