After 40 years of marriage, the political power-couple of Al and Tipper Gore are preparing to separate. The Gores said in an email circulated among friends that the separation was a mutual agreement between the two after long and careful consideration. The reason for the split, according to a Gore spokesman, is because of the different and aloof lives that Al and Tipper have created for themselves after years of separation because of their constant travel and busy careers. Rumors of an affair were quickly dispelled as well.

The Gores’ relationship had become famous for its warmth and compassion. Their long and dramatic, televised kiss during the 2000 Democratic National Convention quickly became famous as one of few romantic gestures witnessed in politics in many years. Tipper always lauded Al on his gentlemanly nature that he would never fail to express towards her despite however exhausted or frustrated he might be during his campaigning. The two were even known to dress in similar costumes for Halloween to greet trick-or-treaters at their home.

The marriage that stood for years in direct contrast to Bill Clinton’s philandering is now drifting apart. Through the years their relationship provided a warmth in the cold world of politics. Al and Tippers 40 years together produced four adult children, Karenna, Kristin, Sarah and Albert III. A bid for the presidency in 1992 was derailed for Al Gore when he decided to write a book rather than run for the presidency. His book was about his family’s experiences following an incident when his 6-year-old son almost died after being hit by a car in 1989.

Automobile accidents are a serious situation, victims of which can not only loss their health, but also their financial well being without proper representation and legal guidance. For accident assistance, seek a local law firm with experience, such a Woodbridge auto accidents attorney from the law firm of Kevin Paul Childers. The accident struck the family hard, and Tipper admitted to taking treatment for depression as a result.
